Dec 2020

Started on Christmas cards, but didn't get them mailed.

Could not decide on gifts and no big family celebrations to go to anyway.

Did not do gifts with hubby except spent lovely time together trying to heal.

Grandkids will get Starbucks gift cards and a personal shopping trip to get what they want with Gma and Gpa. (There will be a spending limit.)

Gifts we get the Grandkids tend to be used as punishments and often they just disappear and can not be found after a long time being taken away. My Son's cruelty makes it hard to give anything nice because it makes me part of the cycle of pain. Sure it's better than yelling or hitting, but I just want to be a place the Grandkids can go for a break from day to day crap. They live with us, so Son micromanages everything.

Before 2020 became the year in COVID purgatory, we'd take the kids out to parks and museums, have fun times to remember. That way it gave Son and DIL a break, and couldn't be taken away... most of the time. We did family fun after church and they always got to go to church, but sometimes weren't allowed to do special time if they were grounded and it was a big deal thing like the trampoline park.

Guess I need to start fresh and move on.

Thanks for the ZEN.
