Romney, the anti Buddha.
Siddhartha Gautama and Mitt Romney shared very similar childhoods separated by 2500 years.
They both grew up in wealthy powerful famillies. Both had powerful fathers that planned that their son would take over their legacy and become leaders of hte land.
Siddhartha was astonished by the depth of difference in experience between his and other's experience and devoted his life to asking questions in the pursuit of truth. In order to be unencumbered of distractions he gave up all his wealth and comofort.
Romney has never really questioned why he has so much advantage and wealth. He doubled down on comfort making sure that not only he doesn't have to suffer but that his cars will have the comfort of elevators. Unquestioning and uncurious.
Siddartha asked the deepest questions that go to the center of human existence.
In college Romney couldn't compete as an athelete but was a cheerleader.
Siddartha had great empathy for all suffering of all living beings.
Romney hosed Seamus down and spent another 10 hours on the road to Toronto.
The more we learn about Romney the more we learn that he is just about 180 degrees different from Siddartha.
