Encouragement from unexpected places

I just thought I'd share an interesting moment I experienced this morning.

I lead an early morning practice group at the Greater Boston Zen Center. We are next door to the Cambridge DPW and in the morning the workers and drivers gather for morning assignments just outside our windows.

Two people discussing what I took to be union or department politics right below the open window at my back.

Just as I hit the last note of the start bell for zazen one man shouts "I don't exists!"

So I sat and saw if experience confirmed it!

I won't say if it did, try it yourself!
