Have recently finished a book entitled “African samurai“ that was about an African slave that had managed to end up in Japan and ultimately directly worked for Nobunaga and was made a samurai.

The book went into substantial detail about Nobunaga’s forces decimating Iga and ruthlessly slaughtering the inhabitants (some of whom might have been ninjas) this, as the video noted, was revenge for the Iga leader’s defeating his son’s army some years before.

Very interesting to see the same history told from a different angle.
