2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThose who don't want to change the Party's approach are killing the left
Change nothing? Keep the same playbook? Ok, well we just lost and if you don't want to change anything, you'd better get real used to losing.
Blame Bernie's supporters and say fuck em? Ok, well good luck winning without them. Guess it's preferable to lose than to change anything to bring more people in.
Fuck the rust belt? Fuck whites people? Well you're going to need those votes if you ever want to win again.
It's a fact that if you don't change the strategy you just lost with, you're going to lose again. Believe that. Change nothing and prepare for 8 years of Trump.

(217 posts)there hasn't been a major political party created since the civil war. Countless multi-billion dollar companies have been created in the last 20 years. Trump beat those who out-spent him, and he broke almost all the rules
I still think the lynchpin of the Trump phenomenon, was the prospect of a 'Bush vs Clinton' race, early on. It threw both parties into a rabid 'anti-dynasty' mode. I really do think that if Jeb hadn't run, Hillary might have made it
if a populist party were created via social media, it could draw 1/4 of Democrats, 1/4 of Republicans, and 1/4 of independents overnight making it a peer player.
and if this party had the attitudes mentioned in the title of this post, it would be dead as a doornail, perhaps forever
