(56,580 posts)From my communications with him (and he was not completely forthcoming), I suspected that Judy and the family would be tugging at him not to do this again. Judy was a half-widow from 2004 thru 2008 when Howard was DNC chair, and he had already told me in 2009 that he was too old to be running for national office again, and that younger blood was needed.
I think O'Malley would be OK, and Ellison, probably as well IF he can get beyond a few of his "gotcha" statements that will be tossed against him ad nauseam, and if he resigns his seat in the House (which I would hate to see).
