Just a suggestion.

(57,498 posts)still being trolled by pretend progressives.
Crunchy Frog
(26,977 posts)That's got nothing to do with the nature of the Google pop up ads.
Also, disagreeing with someone is not grounds for calling them a troll. If you think someone's a troll, contact the admins with your concerns.

(26,977 posts)What an amazing discovery you've made. Better tell Skinner to get on it right away.

(57,498 posts)fervent Trump voter defender know what I'm talking about.
Crunchy Frog
(26,977 posts)Why don't you debate that person on the issues, or else inform the admins that you think he's a troll, rather than throw out baseless accusations that are physically impossible.
brush
(57,498 posts)interacting more than once with a trump voter defender. Could be a coincidence but it kept happening.
If you didn't participate in any of the threads you don't have any idea of the amount of push back that came from many other DUers against the persistence of the trump voter defender.
I can and will continue to share my observations with others despite what you think.

(7,681 posts)I just know what others post can't affect your ads.
Here's some info on how it works: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7029660

(135,425 posts)Someone was bullshit that an ad popped up for a purple vibrator...and complained about it. So everyone started making purple vibrator jokes, and as a consequence, that ad kept popping up. The more it got mentioned, the more it appeared.
Same deal with ANN COULTER--you keep mentioning her, and the Google analytics figures it out, and you would see ads for her books all the time, right here on good old LIBERAL DU!
Send a donation in, though--and you won't have to see the ads. This really is one of the best news aggregators in town--it's timely, it's user-friendly, and it is curated by people who share your perspectives. What more could anyone ask?
brush
(57,498 posts)no mention of her in my posts.
MADem
(135,425 posts)It's like Beetlejuice! All you have to do is say her name THREE TIMES.......
Seriously, it's not what you alone say--it's what everyone says. If we're all talking about what an asshole so-and-so is, the next thing ya know, there's an ad on the sidebar for so-and-so's book.
I haven't seen ads here in over a decade--I have to log out to see them.

(135,425 posts)I thought it was hilarious....and that purple device was especially amusing in a banner ad! Like a psychedelic submarine, getting underway! There was no missing it, either!
MADem
(135,425 posts)Ha ha ha!!! It was lurid and long, but it wasn't surfacing in the display pic!!!
Those were the days....

(13,181 posts)"Trump" is one of those words. Ads from sites for or against Trump, if they are clients of the agency that provides ads to this site (and from which this site profits), will appear.
A donation will make them go away (and help this site replace the money from the ads.)

Go one click into the landing page, so there is no question that is was a valid ad redirection.
No mater how many times you go to an ad, in any given day, at night the clicks are resolved to prevent gaming.
