(475 posts)Contact those electors. Try to meet them in person if you can. Use some textbook psychology to make them feel like hero patriots for voting for Clinton. Try to work god or Jesus in there.

(475 posts)And if it was then there'd be an revolution because it would mean every facet of our electoral system is a wizard of oz act. And how about instead of being defeatist and coated in cynicism you actually try? What is there to lose? This is our last free election. If HRC and her campaign (intelligent people) sees the merit why can't you?

(7,352 posts)As each state's votes are read, a written objection, submitted with the signature of at least one House member and one Senator, stops the proceedings immediately. The two houses of Congress retire to their chamber for a maximum two hours of debate. If both the Senate and the House uphold the objection, the vote(s) are rejected.
Anyone who chooses to dream that this can be stopped is free to do so, but I don't believe in fairy tales. YMMV.
