Cutting, pasting and sharing:
In a live Facebook session yesterday, a couple of the Hamilton Electors said that at this point what's needed aren't more letters and emails to the electors, but to:
(1) Contact your representatives and governors to ask that they demand that the electors be debriefed on the CIA information on Russian interference prior to Dec. 19, and to delay the electoral vote if that's not possible, given the time-frame;
(2) Contact the U.S. Attorney General and ask that the Electoral College vote be postponed until a full investigation of Russian interference and the Trump campaign's potential coordination with Russia is complete.
You can reach the Attorney General's office at 202-514-2000 (Comment line...press 4)
Please cut and paste to share this, and let's flood the office with calls.

(1,643 posts)Does anyone have a list of the full 535 electors and a really stellar letter to use as a template? I'll do another round tomorrow.

(10,291 posts)It isn't too late speak up. Send each Republican Elector listed here an email expressing concern for the country and that they at least ask to be briefed in the situation with Russia. They exist as a Constitutional stopgap, it's just never happened before. Address one, and cut and paste the rest into the BCC area of email. Then just a simple sentence: "Our country is at stake. Please attend the briefing from Washington about whether Russia interfered in our election and draw your own conclusions."

This statement is inaccurate - each elector can make a personal decision about their vote - They are the bottom line here. Emails and letters piling up could trigger a shift - they may decide that the US and THE WORLD come before the narcissistic corporatist.
THEY are the last hope.

(6,147 posts)ignore the vote and install trump. It's a charade.
Farmgirl1961
(1,643 posts)Likewise, the Hamilton Electors must be swayed to NOT vote for trump. They'll be considered American Heroes, even if the GOP controlled House goes with Trump (then the weight will be on their shoulders)
