The Electoral College Must Go

If there was EVER a demagogue to be denied the Presidency it is Donald Trump. They have categorically failed to uphold their duties as Americans. The institution much like the Republican party has revealed itself to be a hollow, monstrous thing and we would be complete fools to let it go unchallenged. This needs to be right up there with striking down Citizens United. It's not enough to just pick up the broken glass and refuse the American Taliban leave behind. We need strong political reform, the stuff of Iron.

This catastrophe must not be allowed to happen twice. Bad enough we as adults will have to suffer 4 years of madness and stupidity, but the youth of this country will invariably be molded by it as well. I shudder to think of the grisly legacy we are leaving to the future if we don't make a decisive course correction.

It was designed to protect Slave states and unfortunately it is still effective 2+ centuries later.

It is a proven failure and needs to be revoked.

Chances no one would end up with 270 electoral votes. Do we really want a republican gerrymandered into perpetuity congress deciding our presidents?

We let the enormity of the task overwhelm us, and nothing changes? Then we deserve misery.

We have to keep working at it.

Keep mentioning that it's a relic from the time of slavery.
