cheeto is in a league of his own. a unique threat to our whole system.

bad as pence is, he is not even in the same ballpark.
besides which, after an impeachment, i suspect the whole party would be a little more careful about what they try to push.
they seem blissfully unaware that they have no real mandate. but after an impeachment, even a failed one, the party will turn inward, and start picking the flesh off their own carcasses instead of ours.

impeach away people. that is the least we can do to wipe this orange stain from our democracy.

that the impeachment of a Publican president will cause the attempted impeachment of every subsequent Dem president until the end of time. Not saying it shouldn't be done, but let's go into it with our eyes open.

...let the Repubs do it. Trump is their problem; let them take charge. If Trump embarrasses the country so much that even McConnell, Ryan, and Co feel that action must be taken, them maybe--just maybe--they'll learn a lesson, and the fever might break just a little bit in their ranks. And if not, let them assume the full responsibility.

possibly worse policy-wise.

I took this quiz last year to see which candidates supposedly best matched my policy beliefs, and Pence was at the bottom with a score of ZERO!
http://www.ontheissues.org/Quiz/Quiz2016.asp?quiz=Pres2016

The quiz is quick, and too simple, but Warren and Sanders were at the top for me. Clinton was around 4th. Chafee and O'Malley were at the bottom among the Democrats for me, but still scored much higher than any of the Republicans.

Trump but they fk up the chance to shape our judiciary for the next generation by not voting and now we're reduced to hoping the gop gets rid of him for us. How fkd up is that when all the dems had to do was vote

Plus it would not have been an attack ad, so one can hold the moral high ground.

Too complex for a 30 second spot, but would have worked on the Sunday shows. Oh well.

16. Lucovich left out two of the most important co-presidents:

Jared Kushner and his father, convicted felon, Charles Kushner.

http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/04/trump-clinton-in-laws-mezvinksy-kushner-213804

Chelsea Clinton's husband's father has a criminal past as well, but I do not believe Hillary was planning to ask for security clearance for him and Chelsea. He was not a major player in her campaign, unlike with Kushner. Totally different story.

i think the tea party caucus is sort of a wild card assuming they are not all koch puppets. if he finds a way to piss off a faction or 2, like these boneheads eventually will be pissed off i am pretty sure, all you need is a colossal fail that gets jumped on the media, and it is nailbiters city, get your tickets right here folks.

i think the big boys would love it.

There are 48 Democrats and Independents. Add to them (it's not realistic, but I'll play along) Graham, McCain, and Snowe. You've got 51. Name the other 16 Senate Republicans that would join forces to convict.

This of course assumes that there are 24 republican house members that would vote with 100 percent of House members to impeach.

Yes, the margins are impeachment proof.

i am just not that sure that all the old rules of party mean as much as they have for the last 8 years. yeah, they ended up backing him, but they did it reluctantly and i think many of them are about to get their oxen gored.

it all depends of just how obviously and blatantly mad kind cheeto wields his power.

Was he the first choice of most elected repubs? Absolutely not. Maybe not even the tenth choice.

But he got more votes than all of the repub candidates for House combined. They will all be standing for re-election in two years. Any one of them that goes after Trump will face a primary opponent.

They will not rock the boat.

i suspect at some point the long knives are going to come out, that's all.
i also suspect that a lot of them resent having to bow down to the new king.
and if things get ugly enough, they will start worrying about a primary from the other side, as well.

interesting times. we shall see.
