The House Republicans today were put in a morally inferior position to Donald Trump, which is difficult to do unless you are actually rotating on a spit in Hell.

... by using passive voice, he implicitly (and unintentionally) forwards the notion that Mr Trump spoke, and Congress trembled. After all, if they were put in that position, some agency put them there.

Anyway, my comment was snark, too. I love Borowitz, but cannot help finding pleasure in trolling him when possible.
