The whitewashing of the Russian hacking is making me ill.

Nothing to see here. Move along. Sure, they hacked our system and manipulated data, but in the end Donald Trump won anyway, so the hacking obviously had no bearing on the election process, Trump won fair and square.

WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK?

Alice in Wonderland.

I disliked Mitch McConnell before for obstructing Obama from day one. I thought my opinion of him could never be lower. He's disgusting for his part in this cover-up.

He holds onto his seat and increases his taxpayer-funded pension, and stays in the news despite being a worthless old codger. Fuck yeah, Russia! Bring it! We lovin' yer ass.

And FOX was on the TV and they kept repeating over and over how the CIA needs to be reformed and asking various people if they thought the admin was using the story to weaken trump.

You could hear the entire narrative being assembled to weaken US intelligence so the Russians have less to fear and also to try to paint Obama admin as doing it for partisan purposes. They were getting a little pushback on this even from their conservative sources but after drumming this a few more weeks they will have it neutralized.

I've begun to wonder if Trump isn't an actual (albeit incredibly dumb) Russian operative.

To best of my knowledge they spearfished John Podesta and maybe hacked the DNC server. I say may have because I don't know if they used the same spearfishing approach or an actual hack. But the leaked information while out of context, wasn't actually manipulated.

But in spite of that, Clinton was still ahead by 6 or more points up until the second Comey announcement 10 or so days before the election. After that Clinton's poll numbers dropped to about 2 points nationally over Trump, which is where she was on election day.

So I don't see a convincing claim that the Russian aspect had a major impact on the election. You can say it was wrong (and it was) but we have our own long history of interfering in other countries' elections and are using our own cyber attacks like Stuxnet against Iran.

I'm not saying it justifies Russia selectively hacking or spearfishing the DNC, but that I don't see any evidence it was relevant to the outcome of the election.

Trump won because our candidate and her campaign was based on faulty electoral math. Leaks and phony scandals are somewhere way down the list.

First of all, it is the media (and others, of course) absolutely spitting in the face of the men and women of the intelligence agencies who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.

Secondly, it's simply unrealistic that any news agency should be going along with Trump's obvious attempts to make the hacking nothing when we all know it is a GREAT BIG SOMETHING. The hacking, to me, indicates that our very lives are at stake. What's next? Is Russia going to hack into a missile guidance system?

On a different note, I was listening to CNN yesterday afternoon while driving and Dana Bash and Wolf Blitzer and one other commentator were discussing Joe Biden's call out of Donald Trump to "grow up". According to all three of them, Biden doing that meant that Biden was stooping to Trump's level. What the absolute freak does that mean?

No mention of the fact that Trump shouldn't be acting like a child because he's about to be inaugurated as President of the United States of America.

I was screaming in the car. Biggest bunch of bullshit I've ever witnessed.
