(3,574 posts)I truly believe Occupy is the last hope for those of us this country has written off

(5,604 posts)Did Ratigan point out that this guy was not from Occupy, or was it not relevant to their conversation. I generally enjoy watching Ratigan when I can, but I think he can be a little fast and loose with facts when he's pushing an opinion.

(3,574 posts)Sometimes he has good guests. And he is still talking much about economic ddisparity whereas the others not so much.
ellisonz
(27,736 posts)I also just find his tone generally annoying. The others talk about economic disparity plenty too

(3,574 posts)I will mention the elephant in the room nobody else has mentioned. 90% of the threads in this forum, the dry announcement/don't buy brand b type of threads have been averaging less than 10 replies each.
Think maybe a different approach might be called for? The best threads I've seen on here are when Occupiers talk about themselves, why they Occupy, what the movement means to them, their experiences/photos at events, on and on.
And photos!
ellisonz
(27,736 posts)It's also true that it's hard to get people to talk about themselves.
Would you like to be ringleader for this initiative? I've got plenty on my plate already. Lighten the mood.
unionworks
(3,574 posts)When I'm the only one doing it. Get "Freedom" from Occupy LA to write a piece on this forum and I'll do one armed push-ups for you.

unionworks
(3,574 posts)And wwill continue to try to do?
Has anyone even emailed Occupy websites in the major cities to make them aware of the existence of this forum?
It would be cool to have people write features on here.

(27,736 posts)...and has firm Terms of Service would be prohibitive to such an effort.
Focus should be on the DU community for now IMHO
unionworks
(3,574 posts)About it, but you do and I certainly trust your judgement on that!

(4,012 posts)There are other reasons, but I'm not going there.
