Atlanta demonstrators who clashed with police join officers in bid to save detective’s home

http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/demonstrators-who-clashed-with-police-team-up-with-officers-in-bid-to-save-detectives-home/2012/10/08/5d97b1a8-115c-11e2-9a39-1f5a7f6fe945_story.html

“The police are in the 99 percent and when it comes down to their economic struggles, we’re going to be there to a shine light on those and organize around those,” said Tim Franzen. He and others who were involved with Occupy Atlanta are now part of a group called Occupy Our Homes ATL, which focuses on the housing crisis.

Barber said she is under threat of eviction after her medical bills mounted, partly because of a diagnosis of multiple myeloma, a form of blood cell cancer.

“I know God did not bless me with this house for someone to just come and take it,” Barber, 62, said through tears on Monday.

1. This country will only thrive if the 99% unite against the Wall Streeters, Bainsters, and Banksters.

You know, those wonderful cop citizens who are really nice people -- until they're ordered not to be.

Thanks to everyone who came to stop by and support Jacqueline today! So to respect the family's privacy for a bit we're going to try to keep people here limited until it's necessary.

We know that we're going to need a lot of energy and people power soon so please stay tuned!

Activists gathered today at Barber's home.

They were joined by a very interesting guest. Her name is Lynn Szymoniak. She was the woman who uncovered the massive fraud known as robo-signing after her own home was wrongfully foreclosed on. The bank had claimed they could not find her paperwork and moved ahead with the foreclosure.

One year later they 'found' the paper work. Unfortunately for them she was a lawyer, and began to do some investigating on her own. She discovered that thousands of documents had been signed by one person and eventually tracked that person to a 'document mill'. There she found low wage workers signing documents using the name she had seen on so many documents.

She then became part of a major lawsuit against five major banks involved. That suit was settled for $25 billion earlier this year. SHE received $18,000,000 for her part in uncovering the fraud and for her part in the lawsuit. Sometimes when they fight back, the 99% do win! That was one incredible victory!

She read about Ms Barber's situation re foreclosure and did some research into HER situation. She contacted Ms Barber to let her know that she believes that there is also fraud in her foreclosure documents.

Today she met at Ms Barber's home with other activists. It looks like this home may be saved now as I'm sure the documents are about to be challenged.

Famed Whistle Blower Lynn Szymoniak Exposes Major Fraud In Jacqueline Barber's Foreclosure

On Wednesday, October 17, Lynn Szymoniak will visit Jacqueline Barber at her Fayetteville home to offer her support.

On Wednesday we will have poster sized title assignments and expose the clear fraud is Ms. Barber's case. Supporters including former APD co-workers will be present as an eviction could still happen any day.

The American Friends Service Committee is excited to be one the ground providing resources and building capacity around Jacqueline Barber's campaign and the growing housing justice movement. More and more we are seeing folks that haven't been engaged in grassroots organizing get involved and longtime organizers and organizations take on housing campaign initiated by Occupy Our Homes ATL.

This is so exciting. To see all these people coming together to help each other. Lynn won her war with the banks, even though she last the first battle and could have simply gone on with here life. Instead she chose to help another victim of this travesty by the banks.

I will try to keep up with this developing story ....

6. GOOD! This appears to be the key:

1. Fort up and gather support/blast the story
2. Audit the documents
3. Withstand police/sheriff assaults until fraud is proven and the bank is forced to make good. This include withstanding continued assaults during the period during which the bank is forced to make good; they don't stand down and continue to pick away at vulnerable targets despite proof of fraud.

It's up to us, the 99%. STAND UP FIGHT BACK!

Then holding them off until legal action can be taken. When my friend was going through this in late 2009, there was no OWS although we did hear that ACORN had been trying to do what OWS is now doing for people being thrown out of their homes.

I wish OWS had been around. What they are doing is wonderful.

I am so glad to see they have saved the Perez home too. I was looking for information on that yesterday.

This is what Congress should be doing. But I think people understand that they won't get much help from the Government. Even the programs that were put in place to supposedly help them are being manipulated by the Banks and there doesn't seem to much oversight of them.
