So you want a Revolution

But you are averse to tear gas and billy clubs. What do you do? Well, I saw a brilliant suggestion here in this thread by Fuddnik:

Withhold our taxes.

Brilliant. But guess what? The IRS is already a step ahead of us. We CAN'T withhold our taxes now. They no longer work off the W-4 system - they determine the withholding themselves based on previous W-2's etc. And if an employee turns in a W-4 claiming extra exemptions, an employer is directed to ignore it - or the IRS can issue a lock-out letter.

Just another example of making peaceful protest impossible, thereby making violent protest inevitable.
