The results are in! CCA was the resounding winner in yesterdays election.
CCAs Political Action Committee (PAC) had a 100% success-rate in the City Council, with PAC-endorsed candidates Gil Cedillo (Council District 1), Curren Price (CD 9) and Mitch OFarrell (CD 13) taking home victories. Yesterdays wins build on the March election successes of CCA-endorsed candidates Bob Blumenfield (CD 3), Paul Koretz (CD 5), Felipe Fuentes (CD 7), Mike Bonin (CD 11) and Joe Buscaino (CD 15). Elsewhere in City Hall, PAC-endorsed Mike Feuer was elected City Attorney, and we look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship with him.
CCA congratulates Eric Garcetti on his victory in the mayoral race, and we look forward to continuing our strong partnership with Eric and his excellent staff. With a lingering fiscal deficit, ongoing debate about pension reform, and a municipal infrastructure in desperate need of repair, we are confident in Erics leadership. We would also like to recognize the hard work of committed public servant Wendy Greuel.
We congratulate Ron Galperin for his success in the City Controllers race. Going forward, CCA PAC-endorsed Nury Martinez will advance to a special run-off election for City Council District 6 in July.
Since 1924, CCAs members have been among the most civically-engaged in our city. Our PACs savvy picks help ensure that CCAs voice will continue to be heard loud and clear at City Hall. We appreciate your support for our advocacy through your PAC contributions. Together, we are making a difference.
