(5,604 posts)with this OP, just blew me away. Perseverance. Symbolic of what we're up against, I dunno. But ya, no mention on the MSM of the conflict. Sounds like this has morphed from an anti-capitalist fight for a park to a referendum of Turkey's direction.

(8,244 posts)Just scrolled through 10 pages of pictures on that site and it's pretty mind blowing. I don't really understand their local issues but the occupiers/demonstrators seem to be normal good folks. And least it seems to have started as a peaceful protest trying to save the park, but the cops cracked down pretty hard trying to evict them from the park.
