Jews who resisted Nazi occupation were called "patriots".

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Behind the Aegis (a host of the Middle East group).

Now, Palestinians doing the same thing are called "terrorists".

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Comparing Israel to Nazi Germany.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Fri Mar 27, 2015, 07:25 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No. Not comparing Jews to Nazis. Comparing Palestinians to Jews.
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Over the top by a mile.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The comparison is apt; if it's not, then point out why it's not. Harassment of schoolchildren by the military on their way to and from school? Forced relocation of families that have lived in their houses for decades? Wanton destruction of family orchards to clear the way for new settlements of emigrés from New York? About the only thing missing are the trains, but the area is so small, they're probably not needed.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

Jews who resisted the Nazis may have been called many things, but seldom "patriots" because they weren't necessarily being loyal to their specific nationality but instead struggling against criminals and barbarians.
And I don't recall the Jewish partisans blowing up schoolbuses, machine-gunning market places, vandalizing religious shrines, or going to distant neutral countries to kill Olympic athletes, or random noncombatants who may have shared an ancestral ethnicity with their enemy.

Palestinians attacking and murdering innocent Israeli civilians is acceptable "resistance" in your opinion?
