I love seeing how many young women are passionate about feminism.
Don't believe the anti-feminist propaganda. This movement is growing.

"But What About The Men?" seems as valid a question as "But what about the Feminists' cats?". A question only vaguely connected to what it mean address and work to change social conditions for women.
Oh Yeah. Men can be feminists, not sure about cats.

(15,378 posts)When men are called sluts and whores for sleeping with women.
When men are legislated about what they are allowed and not allowed to do with their penis
When men are paid less, just for being a man
When men are chastised as a slut because they wear a low cut shirt
When men are told that they need their wife's permission to run for political office
When men are told that their medical coverage will hinge on their Boss's religious beliefs
When men are used in sexual positions to sell anything from oatmeal to yachts
When men are judged by their looks alone if they are worthy of something
When men are told to just smile, they are so much prettier when they smile
When men are stopped on the street by women telling them that they have a great ass
When men are groped in stores
when men are.......
Then I will answer that question.
I will say this though. If men experienced were truly oppressed they would have a real men's rights organization. Not what they have now - a public forum to dehumanize and justify discrimination against women. No what they are fighting for is justification in their rights to be able to call women whores, to legally discriminate against, and more.

So that tells you everything you need to know about them.

It does boil down to instead holding themselves to a higher standard, they oppress woman and minorities to make themselves look better without doing anything to improve themselves. It is a lot easier to blame others for your problems instead of looking at our own behavior that contributes to the problem and growing out of it into more responsible choices. That is one thing the MRA types lack. I call it growing up beyond the JR high school locker room attitude.

(13,324 posts)if more of them would only open their minds a little. Instead, a lot of us guys prefer to play stupid games with logical fallacies and false equivalencies galore, rather than have an actual discussion.
