W.Va. Supreme Court again says jail authority is immune in inmates alleged rape

Even if a correctional officer at a regional jail raped an inmate, the state Regional Jail Authority cannot be held liable in a lawsuit over the rape, the West Virginia Supreme Court ruled Friday for a second time.
Justices made a similar ruling in March, sparking outrage from state and national organizations. The court agreed to reconsider its decision in June...
