I use it all the time.

To get a photo into your post, it needs to already be hosted somewhere on the Internet and then you post a LINK to it. Your photo could be on a social media site, like Facebook or Twitter or InstaGram. Or maybe posted to a Google images account, if you have one(?), or some other free hosting site. I'm not sure what the all the options are these days; I used to use PhotoBucket, but as you can see from the image place-holder in my sig line, they went to NOT being free and I didn't pay up!

But anyway, if you post the Internet link to your image here in a message, then DU will automatically replace the link with your image.
