In Arizona, Bermuda grass is quite common. It is actually a weed, but when manicured it can make a nice lawn.
However, it's infesting my garden. Anybody have any idea on how to get rid of the grass without killing the flowers in the garden?

(12,280 posts)It is a very tenacious grass spreading by seed and rhyzomes. The rhyzomes can travel underneath pavement as much as 30'. You might contact your local state agriculture people. Sorry to no be very helpful.

(522 posts)We have it creeping in from our neighbors yard and it has been impossible for us to eradicate. It will come up through the tiniest of holes in the cardboard and mulch we lay down after we have cleared an area out and it will spread then almost overnight. It is nasty stuff.
