(if not allowed to ask about this here let me know and I will delete)
Question: if a post is alerted on and goes to a jury, can the poster still edit the post? Would the juror be able to see that?
Reason for asking: I've been away for quite awhile, and just got my first jury call after coming back. The post that I read clearly (to me) didn't break the rule. I had a hard time answering the question about intent because I never want to assume bad intent. But jeez, the post wasn't even close (to me). So that got me wondering, is it possible the post was edited to change it that much between when the alert was sent and I saw it?

(18,566 posts)Maybe ask an ATA question.
I've had similar experiences.

(18,124 posts)Also the ATA "forum" now doesn't show the questions and answers.
I guess too many people abused a good thing so it had to be taken away. Sigh.

(18,566 posts)I believe it's possible to delete your own post if it's been alerted. I don't think you get a notice until the post is jury completes. If the post is deleted after it goes to a jury, I think the jury can complete but the results have no impact on anything. At least that's what I think I remember reading.
I would hope that edits are locked out after an alert.
I could be wrong some of this.

(4,105 posts)And the rule "do not refight the primary" applied to more posts in the thread then it did to mine.
They did not get deleted.
But even talking about it I violate a DU rule. "No discussing moderation rules"
What happened to you DU? I thought we were democratic?

(221,177 posts)I was once on a jury for an OP that was self deleted just seconds after it went to the jury. I was aware of it because I'd just seen it on the front page.
