is it possible to show a facebook image in a DU thread

I have tried to paste the URL of a facebook image into a DU thread and it doesn't work.

i could download the image, upload it to a server and then show it in a DU thread but that is a lot of work just to show an image

does anyone know if you can do it more easily?

for example here is one I wanted to put on DU

i tried shortening it and getting rid of all the mumbo-jumbo after the .jpg but that didn't help.

Upload image then the Embed Codes:

Choose the BBCode full linked from the pull-down menu

You can then delete all the stuff before the http:// and after the jpg

having to download the image, then upload elsewhere?

my question is about whether or not there is a way to display the image directly from facebook without doing that, like you can with most other images on the net, by just referring to the URL.

The way they set up their image urls prevents them from working when the request for the image comes from a non-facebook server. I don't think there's anyway around that.

as I stated in the OP, I am trying to avoid the tedious and time consuming steps of downloading an image, then uploading to a different server everytime I want to show an image from facebook
