Help with imgur (RESOLVED)

Edit: Issue resolved thanks to CurtEastPoint.

I have checked out CurtEastPoint's thread and others but am still having trouble with imgur.

In brief:

DUer BumDaRush show had said:
I did a right-click on that pic (I use Firefox) to get a drop-down menu that offered a choice to "View image". Selecting that gave me the image full screen and I just copied the URL of that page and pasted here!

I am not even offered that "view image" option. But if I copy the permalink and open it in a browser like firefox, I get an ugly sort of link like this:

As I have seen others recommend, I trimmed out everything past the dot and added jpg. Now I can see the image but its resolution is much lower.

I am not involved in any charities. However, I have 8 cats and feed 5-6 strays.
That is 1 more than when I re-joined here a month ago . I said 6 in my introductory post because I was ashamed to say 7. And I have one more now thanks to covid presumably overwhelming our local shelter. I did not check but I am pretty sure they cannot take on more cats.

I have almost twice what you have! Our group feeds about 70 cats per day in various colonies.

Thank you for your work...covid has (among other things) been hard on strays....but it is good to see that some people are stepping up to help 'em.

Btw I will make a contribution to your group in the future I promise (I have this in my journal so I will remember)-I am over-catted right now but I will at least make a small donation later -gotta support a duer who helps me post pics of:
Ollie (as in Twist)!

This is the latest addition to my menagerie. He is a little pest. Couldn't get a better picture as he doesn't sit still..

I copy the permalink from imgur. Post it in firefox and "view image". It is working fine once all the junk is trimmed.
The mistake I made was leaving in the "_d" in the earlier attempts.
