I noticed that some people post the tweet while others only post a link to the tweet.
Maybe some people do not know how to post the tweet so they just post the link?

Suggest trying Safari and Firefox ... if just long enough to see if they work.
Doubt if it's pihole issue ... I've got pihole here and testing with chrome (on macOS Big Sur) seems to be working fine.
Have any plug-ins enabled?

It is Chrome specific.
It works fine with Brave Browser.It appears to be the DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials that does it. Not sure why that was even enabled.
