Backseat Driver

How many of you construct your OPs and comments outside of

DU and save them elsewhere before copying or moving them to DU? Can this help avoid the infamous 403:Forbidden error? Do you find that useful? I've had that wipe out my comments; in a longish comment, re-typing is very time-consuming - I do use a separate less popular browser bastardized from Google Chrome to access DU and other browsers and links (but other browsers for other purposes), an adblocker, and a paid reliable anti-virus product, and a paid VPN and rarely change choice of server location. My DU account is "starred" as well. Am I being subjected to a content by word censorship algorithm or something else more malicious?

But not because of any DU issues. Just because I have this pattern of previewing and testing the links in my post and then closing one too many windows ... losing the draft.

DU.... I don't find it makes a difference to the 403 Forbidden problem. (Short replies like this I just type in DU's reply box and post). I also use 2 separate browsers without ad blockers nor VPN.

Besides checking for spelling and grammar errors, web browsers can be less stable with handling user data when dealing with server errors.

403 errors are not related to post lengths.

Then, if I get an error, I paste it back in until it doesn't error. Just the act of cutting it at least backs it up temporarily. Be careful, because sometimes when I get an error the post was actually made. So when I post again, I sometimes realize there are now duplicates. Chrome also saves it so if I back up, it's usually still there.
