Forum for those of us who have never had Covid?

I googled around but couldn't find one.

Its so isolating I'd love to share feelings, etc with similar people.

We are totally vaxxed and boosted, 'are both pushing 80 and have serious illnesses so we always wear masks inside (when we have to do in like use the restroom) even though we are now getting "those" looks when we do so, especially now its summer and people want to enjoy themselves and not be reminded of the virus.

We don't have people over and don't go indoors not even church. We just can't take the chance.

Even our house is suffering as we need some repairs done indoors and don't want to risk letting anyone in as we did a few months ago and turns out he had Covid even though we were told by his agency he had been tested recently.

Thanks for any input.

My own story is so similar, it is uncanny. Same looks, same house issues, same reluctance to go anywhere.

My oldest friend and her family are coming in to town this month and as we are now back in the "high" category I just don't feel comfortable getting together with her and her family who are flying in from the western US. This isn't just for me but for my husband who is has a serious heart condition.

I wrote to her and politely inquired (I know its a touchy area) if they are vaxxed and boosted and she didn't respond. Did she forget to do so or just didn't want to say?

Even if she and her husband are ok (I think he's a trumper and she may be so I'm doubtful) I'm pretty sure their adult kids won't be - plus they will all be flying here.

They don't seem to have a care about it. As they are our age and have very serious health conditions they seem to be throwing caution to the wind, rolling the dice, etc.

I don't get it. No vacation is worth that.

I was vaxxed fairly early (Jan. 16, 2020) and have had two boosters. My Pulmonary doctor has told me that it is only a matter of time before I get COVID. I have been going to the office more often but stayed home this week due to high ozone levels and a sore throat. I ended up getting a PCR test on Tuesday which was negative.

I have had one law partner get a bad case but he cleared up after two days on the Pfzier med.

I wear my mask to the store and to the county Democratic convention. I am still thinking about going to the state convention

I are resigned to the concept that it is only a matter of time before I have a case of COVID.

My house needs attention. I avoid going much of anywhere. Sometimes, it feels like house arrest.
Our club is considerably smaller now. It easy to question our precautions as I watch others
resume pre-pandemic behaviors, then I read a new report on new variants and the life-changing
effects of Long-Covid and realize we are on our own in determining our personal risk tolerance.

Sounds like sci fi but I can visualize communities of we "avoiders" as our ranks will be shrinking all the time, the virus whittling away at our members.

Maybe we will live apart in our own enclave with passkeys, etc. ....sounds insane but I wonder...

Even in our small, multi family condo building - who is vaxxed and boosted? We don't know.

We pass one another in narrow hallways and now the others want to resume in condo meetings will they want to have a zoom meeting just for us?

and will tell people as such if necessary.

It has helped me psychologically deal with any adverse reactions from people, even if only imaginary.

We’re all vaxxed. My 2 adult sons have good full time jobs. Hubby (retired) and I stay out of restaurants and have found that that one precaution seems to make a world of difference. No church either. We do go to stores, but only if they are not crowded. No family parties, graduations, that type of thing, either.

My middle son who lives in another city has had it twice. He’s fully vaxxed and boosted. Both bouts he had were very mild symptoms. His girlfriend who lives with him has not gotten it from him either time. He blames his workplace because there are a lot of anti vaxxers there.
