I'm sharing this information since I am frequently asked to provide summaries when I post videos. There are times when I haven't watched the video myself so rather than have members wait for "my" interpretation I will be directing members to read the transcript instead. Considering that I sometimes have to roll away to take care of tasks or I may fall asleep, I am providing this information so that it will eliminate hours of waiting for me to respond.

(116,562 posts)questions. However, I am not a "natural" writer who enjoys writing and I will usually procrastinate when I do have to put on my writer's cap. I'm also not a great listener and I put away the transcription machine 30+ years ago when the attorney who managed the project I worked on as a state employee left the job. Relying upon my skills as a listener and transcriptionist does not do adequate justice to the people who are providing the video content--it's equivalent to using the Cliff Notes to a major piece of literature.
I would copy and paste the transcripts using the method that I described in the OP, but there are timestamps every few seconds so the cut-and-paste jobs would be extremely long and they are really not suitable to fit with the format of DU.
