Among the reasons I despise cigarette smokers is stuff like this. They are utterly oblivious to anything their smoking or cigarettes cause.

She does his laundry but she's careless...kind of thoughtless, can do passive aggressive shit to annoy me. I don't think she did this on purpose but I'm so tired of cleaning up after her, them. I would google how to remove ink from a washer. People do this ALL THE TIME, someone knows what to do. Carbona stain removers are specific to certain stains. Rubbing alcohol may work on the streaks in the washer tub. Those are the most urgent here.

If the ink had been dried in the dryer, it's dried. I don't think it'll do anything more than get baked on as you use it.

And the ink is indeed dried on the drier drum so, aside from looking bad it'll be okay. I guess it's the cigg smell in the drier problem I need to solve

Waded up in the bathroom..drives me nuts. I clean pretty much everything with it. A splash every night in the sink after dishes and wipe down the counters. Smell lasts about 15 seconds and no bugs or smells.

It's especially good for berries. They last so much longer. Supposedly, it helps to kill the bacteria that can rot the fruit.

When I get blueberries, I gotta eat all pretty quick..kills me to toss them out.

Can make them go bad faster. I have no idea if that is true, but the water-vinegar solution really seems to slow that down.

The girls were floundering, in a really rough school that they weren't used to then covid happened. I saw we had a window, opportunity to get them into adulthood as mentally healthy as we could, give them stability. We've overlooked some stuff for the girls, but I don't know how much longer we can do it

But seriously, my husband is going to be livid. He does his and my laundry. If she doesn't clean them to his satisfaction she's gonna have to replace them.

Make them clean it up.

While that is going on maybe remind them of all the other shit they did to cost you while you are trying to help them, not just that they trashed your stuff but that you were also helping them which is kind of a dual cost and they are not seeing any consequence. Then help them see that continuing in your home will require some respect and consideration or more consequences. Just be calm so they know you're serious.

acetone (fingernail polish remover), applied with a paper towel. Either can work on clothes, too, but might also ruin them. Test on an unnoticed edge.

I once left some vitamins in a shirt pocket that I was going to take with my lunch. They went through the wash—some very yellow vitamin B, and some fish oil capsules. Got a yellow blotch or two, and the fish oil melted in the dryer and made my clothes smell intensely. Most of it came out after a wash or two, but I had to toss one or two items.

acetone and if not, it's probably permanent ink in which case, it will stain the dryer drum but not come off on the clothes because it is already "heat set". So sorry you are going through this. Bring them in and ask them to clean them up using the vinegar and acetone and make it clear they have to check pockets from here on out. What else you gonna do. You are doing a very good thing and I know it can be hard (I raised my two grandsons) and the youngest is headed off to college this fall. It is worth it in the long run.

p.s. If all else fails, run a load of strong bleach and dawn dish soap through the washer. Spray the dryer drum with bleach and then wash it out with a wet cloth and dawn. Good luck.
