I am unable to switch to Skinner mode

Not that I want to, it's just unavailable to me. I can see the setting choice but it's grayed out and can't be chosen.

Account settings -Visual appearance

You can't have Large Fonts on to use it.

It is driving me mad. The Use Large Fonts area is grayed out in my Account Settings area.
This is getting old.
