I ran across this cry for help on my neighborhood app.

I'm not in a financial place to help her, but at least I can do this. If you are able, please help this disabled veteran.

From her post:
"I hate to do this but I'm running out of time and options.

I told my husband I was leaving him a few weeks ago which resulted in a domestic violence incident over the weekend. The police came and helped me get my things out and a friend paid for a hotel for the weekend but I have to be out today. I am a disabled veteran and they gave me a list of resources to contact however I haven't made it through the whole list. It's $100 for another night at this hotel. Is anyone able to help me so that I don't have to go back home?"

her congressperson and ask that person to point her to the right resources.

The name of the person making the plea causes me to think the gender is female.
