Question about posting Tiktok videos

I see the video & multimedia forum is gone (yeah, I'm way behind). There are two extremely motivational political videos but I can only find them on TT. Are we allowed to post videos from TT or do people hate that idea too much that it isn't worth it?

Does anyone know how to take a TT video (or from any other social media platform 'cause they all suck in their way) and share it in a way that people don't have to visit the platform to see it?

so links to TikTok videos will simply appear as links for now. You're welcome to post links to TikTok videos wherever you think the post might be most appropriate, but bear in mind that they will not render as videos on DU, just as links to the videos on TikTok.

and you even can remove the tiktok watermark.

Then you upload your vid to YouTube.

I'm on Android but there are aps for most platforms.

as EarlG said above, we can't. They won't embed. And I don't want people to have to go to any social media site to see the info so, assuming people are okay with YouTube videos, I'm trying to find a way to upload these informative videos there instead.
