2. In my observations over the years, the vast majority stay "FFR" forever (years), or "graduate" to PPR

(Posting Priveleges Revoked) but a relatively few (in my observations) are restored to Active.

As the previous reply indicated, 5 removed posts in 90 days gets one automatically "FFR'd" by the software, but I've seen some get FFR'd for other reasons.

The poster I’m asking about is a long time DU’er. It’s no longer possible to see the number of posts hidden - or else I’m not savvy enough to find that information.

I wouldn’t think that someone who had been banned from posting would worry about coming back. They would just go elsewhere.

Too bad. Guess it happens. Thanks for the info.

4. It's a secret (shhhhh) but to see how many hidden posts a person has, go to their profile and (shhh)

Click on the "explain" of "Chance of serving on Juries: 80% (explain)"

(80% or whatever the case may be.)

And it will reveal some statistics like for example, this:

2000 or more total posts: +20
200 or more days of membership: +20
20 or more posts in the last 90 days: +20
Star member: +40
1 posts hidden in 90 days: -20
TOTAL: 80

The next to last line is the number of posts hidden ("removed" in most DU software terminology).

If the person has been FFR for a while, e.g. several days, realize a post or two might have fallen out of the 90 day window and you may see e.g. 3 or 4 posts hidden. But at one time earlier they had 5 in 90 days.

On people coming back from an FFR - they might have had a bad day where they got emotional and posted in anger and got like say 3 hides (posts removed) in the same thread within minutes of each other. And if they already had 2 hides already, they've reached 5. (doesn't have to be in the same thread, doesn't have to be within minutes of each other, that was just an example of how easily and quickly it can happen on a bad day)

One can appeal any hide, among other ways of contacting the admins, and explain and promise to do better and maybe get changed back to active by admin action.

6. You're welcome 😊 You're too kind, I'm just nosy, I check profiles often, and just happened to click on that

"explain" and have remembered since because I do it so (too) often to forget. 🤣
