Suggestion to help reduce duplicate posts.
Could there be a simple search, when someone makes a post, to check if the same has already been posted?
Reason: It's tough to keep up with all the posts unless you read every title, and "sometimes" people like me block obnoxious and sickening names. (Hint, rhymes with dump)
The search could be only over the past day or two, and in an OP, show up as "related recent posts".
Not that I want to make more work for coders!!
I frequent Hacker News, and often the first reply will be:
Duplicate Post of ....URL.....
side note: (pardon the diversion. It's just to show that there can be multiple posts without duplication)

Blocks are not honored on the home page, but not every article makes it there.
...but usually it's so long since I posted it, the previous week,
that it probably reaches a whole new set of viewers...
