It's funny. I have a number of Google Searches set up (this is a gun thread FWIW, opt out now)


Two of them are about guns and quite old:

Gun Control
Domestic Gun Violence legislation

Both of these get a LOT of hits to gun related blogs/sites, ie guns.com, bearingarms.com, breitbart.com, ammoland.com etc. I can pretty well measure how much activity there is in legislation by how vociferous and outraged these places get.

Just added another, 'gun violence'.

None of the regular suspects show up in that search although it garners as many hits as the other two. Lots and lots of articles, editorials and news reports. Not any of the outrage about taking rights away etc.

I just found this interesting. Don't know if it means anything but the slight change in wording makes a big difference. Perhaps a lesson we should consider.

One might infer that the violence committed by people with guns is not as important to some gun enthusiasts as is the idea that carrying a gun everywhere is the most important right of all.
