Really? Police believe the shooting to be an accident? So this means that the 7-year-old "accidentally" shot a 3-year-old with a gun that he/she bought after completing a background check?
The "adults" that were in the house had absolutely no part in this "accident" and the 7-year-old is totally responsible for the shooting. He/she should be charged with negligent homicide.

(16,554 posts)1. Pisses me off. So many lives ruined.
The adults should be locked up. This was not an "accident" it was negligent manslaughter. The seven-year-old will need years of therapy. And I bet the "adults" will be given their gun back, since it was an accident and all. Jesus.

authority that all gun owners who are not criminals are "responsible" with their deadly weapons.

Never, never, never.
Negligence, pure and simple. Totally preventable.
