A week after gun control rally, gun rights supporters gather at Minnesota Capitol

https://www.mprnews.org/story/2018/03/31/a-week-after-gun-control-rally-gun-rights-supporters-gather-at-minnesota-capitol

In a nutshell; 20,000 people showed up for the March for Our Lives and about 400 showed up for the Minnesota Gun Rights counter protest. Seems about right. That's the ratio of gun nuts that have opposed common sense gun measures to those who support them. Such a tiny tail wagging such a big dog.

Well, to quote Bob Dylan, the times they are a changin'.

At the end of this 6 minute video from the Joy Reid show a Republican strategist comments that gun control is now in the top 3 issues on voter's minds. Candidates from BOTH parties are being asked to weigh in on where they stand on gun issues. There's a certain amount of bla bla bla about red states and the south must be pro-gun but that belies the fact that even in those places gun safety is a top 3 issue.

Speaking of videos, Youtube has removed all gun videos. The best place to see gun videos now is Pornhub. That also seems about right.

Meanwhile the NRA and our own gun cuddlers here on DU are publicly silent. Except on conspiracy.com and internal fund raising letters of course.

Second Amendment absolutists are going to great lengths to promote the right-wing gun lobby's lies and disinformation propaganda machine. The bottom line is that Americans have had enough of the gun violence epidemic and blood on our streets and in our schools.

Tighter gun control measures are on the way nationwide.

but I told her I have been reading about a lot os small NRA/gun support events around the US. I think that they are still out there stronger than ever but just not in the MSM right now. In Vermont they just had some free gun magazine give-away event. They are laying low, just like here on DU. I used to get a lot of pro gun responses but I haven't seen as many in the past month two. Even after the Las Vegas mass murder there were posts showing boys under 10 showing off rifles and dead deer in their arms right here on DU under the "outdoor life" forum.
