Has anyone else noticed the latest Gunner attempt to denigrate anti violence legislation?

Suddenly gun control is RACIST!

Despite the origin of the 2nd Amendment and the blatant Republican attacks on black gun ownership (remember the Black Panthers arming themselves and patrolling black neighborhoods back under Reagan?) suddenly now ALL attempts at regulating guns is RACIST!

It's all over The Truth About Guns, America's First Freedom (hmm, thought that was freedom of speech??), Usconcealedcarry.com and just about every other gun fetishist source.

Can someone pray tell me how any of the attempted curbs on gun violence in the last decade overwhelmingly affect only people of color?

Amazing how so many seemingly disparate gun'splaining sources come up with the same talking point at the same time . . .

based on racism. Given the ratio of POC vs white deaths is an effort to curb gun trafficking racist? How about the move to prevent the transfer to guns without a complete background check, is that race based?

I understand that no law ever written, Jim Crow or not, has ever explicitly mentioned race even if the outcome is (Texas voting laws as an example), can a case be made that current attempts at gun control are overtly racist?

I personally don't see it but welcome any opposing commentary.

lie that promotes the idea that BLM is a racist organization. Their voting law atrocities, and their other overtly racist actions all belie their protestations that they are not racist. If it sheds light on white privilege -- it's racist, socialist, communist, or whatever "ist" fits their own fascist agenda. It's a part of their anti "Critical Race Theory" agenda.

Calling anti gun-violence efforts by rational people racist is just another example of their penchant for projection. The truth is that their over-the-top opposition to "gun control" is racist in nature, and another glaring example of protecting white-privilege by lying to POC about the motives for attempts to reduce gun violence.

Republicans, "conservatives," Libertarians, and the myriad groups of gun-toting right-wing militias are attempting to use POC as human shields in their efforts to stop the enactment of anti gun-violence measures across the country.
