Solving the gun problem.

DRUG GUNS

Noticing how they're starting to make Narcan available to people who overdose was the genesis of this possibly wacky idea.

Fentanyl/Narcan is the model, but I don't think that would be the right drugs..

1. You need a quick acting dosage to bring someone down, 2. and you need an antidote.

It has to act fast as possible intramuscularly which might be an issue, but every second that you save, could save an extra life even if not every life.

Ideally, you don't want the initial drug to be addictive. Add some other drug to it that delivers an uncomfortable effect. This would enable more people to carry it. Addictive creates a new problem.

advantages over taser. pepper spray. It could work as far as a propelled dart can travel, which can be pretty far. If you hit an innocent person by accident, you can potentially save them. So, this takes care of some of the risk of shooting and missing.

So, it would not be as risky as it might seem to shoot someone holding a gun.
