Do you support the confiscation of all currently legal firearms?

Private ownership of firearms would be made illegal through proper legislation, and then the firearms that were once legal would be confiscated through whatever means the government deemed best.

If you feel this poll is poorly made, I will try to be open to critiques, but I may not change it if many people have already voted.

On duty police, military, etc., are exempt from this confiscation.

(I originally made this poll for the other gun group, and some asked me to post it here. I asked the hosts, and got the thumbs up from one, but then school distracted me and I forgot to post it. The only thing I added was "through proper legislation" out of respect for the SOP of this group. Original poll: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1172119394)

eta: Oops! Forgot an option! Sorry!

detrimental to society. Then again, law-abiding and responsible gun owners might be largely a myth, especially with regard to assault weapons and accessories.

...If a law is passed making Firearm X illegal to possess, you're wondering if I think that law should be enforced?
