Dialogues with Bishop Marc Andrus at Grace Cathedral - All Souls Day

This is a recording of a dialogue between Rupert Sheldrake and Bishop Marc Andrus. It's a fascinating discussion between the two, and I recommend listening. It's a half-hour, and there is some background noise (sirens, bees!) so you may have to concentrate a little harder to hear them at times

This is copied from his FB page and the link:

Last month I was in San Francisco, where I had a dialogue at Grace Cathedral with Marc Andrus, the Bishop of California, on All Souls' Day, now online here:

Dialogues with Bishop Marc Andrus at Grace Cathedral

Rupert Sheldrake, a biologist and author, is best known for his theory of morphic fields and morphic resonance, which leads to a vision of a living, developing universe with its own inherent memory.

Quite a resume the interviewer has. Really wanted to read his background before I listened to that first interview. Kind of a scientist and mete physicist. Looks to be well respected all over the world. Cambridge, Harvard. Thinks out of the box, certainly. A modern day Aristotle. I intend to eventually listen to all his talks and interviews.--will take me a while--that's for sure. Had never thought of praying for species that have been wiped from this earth--even mentioned butterflies! He seemed concerned about our endangered species.

I had a vision ONCE--kind of a spiritual revelation--back in March of 2010. I actually experienced being embraced by "the light" and did not want to leave this feeling of the purest and most profound love that can possibly be experienced, but don't consider it a near death experience. I was feeling quite refreshed the next day, although profoundly introspective. What came to me loud and clear, although I heard no voices (thank goodness) was we are all connected--everything on this planet and universe.

This vision was totally unbidden--came out of the blue .It was far too profound and sophisticated for me to make up--billions of intricate translucent geometrical shapes that symbolized life forms--all inter-connected and went back into infinity. The only drugs I had taken were 2 ibuprofen that evening LOL. Oh, another thing I am convinced of-- God LOVES all of His/Her creation.

I've known about Sheldrake for a while, yet I also had not known of his recordings and interviews. It will certainly take me a while to listen to them all as well. One word of caution with regards to Sheldrake and the rest of DU. He's not well-liked elsewhere by the septics, and they will pounce upon any mention of his name in any manner other than to mock. Just so you know.

I hadn't heard of Marc Andrus before, and after reading his Wikipedia entry, he's also got a science background. That entry is rather light on details, so I'll have to see if he's got a website, too. (He does, on typepad.)

Your vision sounds like it was quite profound. I know of that feeling, that Love, though mine was through a lucid dream that didn't feel or seem like any dream or lucid dream I'd had before. Still, I got to feel that Unconditional Love from one of the beings in my dream, so I have at least the beginning of knowledge about it. Yeah, it's simply not describable, and not at all like any drugs I've ever taken, so I know it wasn't due to outside chemicals.

I could probably cross-post this over at the ASAH group (Astrology, Spirituality, and Alternative Healing.) I was thinking some there might also like to hear it.

Thanks for your account of your vision. It's always nice seeing others having similar experiences
