My neighbor brought me a pot of tulips today

She wanted to thank me for clearing their driveway after a snowstorm - I think in January. I was trying out a snow pusher thing I picked up at a yard sale, and it was easy to use, so I went across the street and did theirs. If I had needed to use a shovel, I wouldn't have been able to do it because of my back. They are in their 80s, very sweet people.

can mean the absolute world...especially on difficult days.

How nice that you have one another as neighbors.

It was just around the block from her son and daughter in law so it was OK, but the nicest mailman in the world used to deliver her mail and then knock on her door to talk to her and make sure she was OK. It was all part of her daily routine.
