Lost jacket - and $1,700 - returned
A Minnesota man went hunting in the fall of 2009. He tossed his jacket into the back of his truck and didn't realize when it blew out along the side of the road. In the jacket pocket was his wallet with license, credit cards, and $1,700.
Earlier this month he got a call from a local farmer. The jacket had been found. Actually, the farmer had found the jacket back in 2009 and had hung it in his garage without giving it much thought. Then, a few weeks ago, he was going to go duck hunting and decided to wear the jacket. When he put it on and put his hands in the pockets, he discovered the wallet. So he called.
Schipnewski drove to Jorgenson's farm to pick up the jacket and thank him personally. He also offered him a large cash reward, but Jorgenson refused it.
Despite Jorgenson's protests, Schipnewski left him enough cash to buy his own hunting jacket.
"There are a lot of good people in this world, that's for sure," said Schipnewski. "Four years later, I get the jacket back and hopefully a new friend."
