Happy Birthday to me!… making rum balls for the holidays (in my life the holidays always start on the 28th of Oct. going thru the NEW YEAR!)

i love rum balls but like bourbon balls even better. i need to make some for the holidays.

buy a bottle of bourbon and try it… what is your recipe??

it might even be in the recipe box she sent me, but that's sitting on my dad's coffee table. doh. i'm pretty sure it's graham crackers, corn syrup, finely chopped walnuts and the booze. mom usually rolled it in granulated sugar rather than powdered sugar. i was allowed a nip or two from the bottle once i was older in exchange for rolling them.

I love stretching the holidays together, makes the kitchen smell good all the time.
