Meet Rio, the kitty who went from discarded dumpster kitten to much-loved miracle cat.

After suffering a severe trauma that left her back legs paralyzed, the tiny, helpless kitten was thrown in a dumpster. But, someone found her and brought her to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, where the veterinary team determined there was a chance she would improve with physical therapy – and perhaps even walk normally again. Eventually, she was able to take a few confident steps at a time and even jump up on a cat tree.

Best Friends put a video of Rio on their website and one special person saw her and was certain they were meant to be together.
