THIS is community: Marine gets dream wedding

The city of Temecula, California, donated over $30,000 worth of services so this veteran could enjoy his dream wedding.

Corporal Juan E. Dominguez joined the Marine Corps in 2007. Three years later, he was conducting a combat operation in Sangin, Afghanistan, when he rolled down an embankment and landed on an IED. The ensuing blast took both his legs and his right arm.

Since his homecoming, Dominguez has been witness to an outpouring of support from residents of his hometown of Temecula, CA. But recently, they outdid themselves. On April 27, 2013, they united to sponsor the soldier’s dream wedding to his bride, Alexis.

Instead of cash, local businesses donated every last detail for the event, including the venue, the bride’s dress, the flowers and wedding cake. In total, they provided over $30,000 of gifted services.
