Saw this on VHS back in the day. Frightening. Like "Day After"

(2,312 posts)waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more that others on this topic, like Testament and the Day After.
Because it went a generation into the future, when hope was completely gone.

(2,312 posts)was made by the BBC but not shown in Britain for 20 years because it was deemed too real and frightening. If you can find it, watch it, but be prepared.
The Day After is very good, but you will have to pay to rent it, and Testament will break your heart, but should be watched along with the others.
Get ready.

(4,196 posts)The Day After was gut wrenching, but lacked the emotional impact of Testament, if I remember correctly. I know there have been a few movies produced by the BBC which didn't make it the airwaves over there for quite a while. One was about London flooding... can't remember the name of it. It was a multi-part made for Tv movie. It was *really* good.
I'll have to look for War Game and the one the poster wrote about. Need something new to stream... won't dissipate my anxiety level, for sure... but it'll be anxiety about something other than the election!
