Too bad he's a conservative.

(3,784 posts)4. I appreciate your choice, but I lean towards Robin Williams.
SO many diverse roles, and excellent in almost all of them.

(576 posts)7. hmmm...Gary Oldman had more movies and more range. IMHO.

You are vastly minimizing Robin's roles.
I'm not saying Gary wasn't great, just asking you to look at another spectacular talent.

(576 posts)10. Ok. You may be right. Now that I think about it, Robin Williams did have more range, but does that make him
a better actor?

(576 posts)15. Oldman is better. I can always see Robin Williams
In his movies. Gary Oldman disappears in his roles.

Love his wry smart-alecky sense of humour!

(12,237 posts)14. Just watched the finale of S4 Slow Horses
Oldmans portrayal of the Jackson Lamb character is no less than brilliant and S5 filming has already wrapped. Cant wait to watch!

(6,090 posts)16. When I think of Oldman I think of versatility
He is compelling in every film I have seen him in, regardless of his role. He is one of the greats.
